Well..... Jack made it to Kathleens late last night... looks like the storm passed over Boca and headed up the coast. Our plan now is to hit the road. Well shoot some pictures of this area as we leave and update it all later when we stop. Below is an early morning shot of Jack's car in front of Kathleen's. Also Kathleen editing some of the text for the page.

When the news was reporting the eyewall of the storm around Vero Beach, that was just about the time we were passing through that area, so we thought that once we got North of there, conditions would improve quickly. Not so. When Jack needs to grip the steering wheel with two hands to maintain control, you know it is windy. We saw a number of cars that had done 180's on the road and a variety of other crashes along the way.
The city view is of Jacksonville, where one of the feeder bands was going through at the same time we were. The weather did not really improve until we got to South Carolina, where we called it quits for the day. Only about six more hours of driving for tomorrow, so that will give us time to go to Cherokee first - the casino and some other places of interest. Jack is intent on finding someplace that will be showing the Dolphins game on TV. Glad I brought a book!
Just beginning to see hints of fall colors in the trees. It will get much better at higher elevations.
Steven, tell Lizzie that we ate tonight in a real country cooking kind of place called "Lizard's Thicket". If the t-shirts weren't so ugly, I would have gotten her one.
